Privacy policies

1. Responsibility and scope

ADDI-DATA GmbH is the service provider and therefore the responsible party for any personal data of users collected during their visit to our website. All personal data is collected, processed and used by ADDI-DATA in accordance with the pertinent legal provisions, in particular the German Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz, BDSG) and the German Telemedia Act (Telemediengesetz, TMG).

ADDI-DATA’s privacy policy is subject to changes made regularly, whenever necessary due to the varying use of social plugins for instance. The authoritative version of our privacy policy is the one available on our website at the time of your respective visit.

2. Data collected automatically when you visit our website

When you visit our website, the following information will be transferred automatically from your browser to our server where it is saved in the log files:
•date and time of your visit;
•host name of the computer accessing our site (IP address);
•referrer URL (last page viewed before the current one);
•type and version of the user’s browser;
•the user’s operating system;
•pages visited by the user;
•search term entered, for example in Google, to find our website.

ADDI-DATA collects this data only for the purpose of data security, for statistical analysis and to ensure a user-friendly design of our website. Neither ADDI-DATA nor any third party operating on its behalf will link this data to an identified or identifiable natural person and no personal user profiles will be created.

The website uses cookies which will assign an anonymous user ID to you. Cookies are small text files stored on the user’s computer when they visit a website. Cookies are used to make websites more convenient, efficient and secure. As they are purely text files, they cannot contain viruses or other malware. Most browsers allow users to have a warning displayed before a cookie is stored and to refuse to accept the cookie and/or delete existing cookies. The usability of the website may be restricted, however, if such settings are made.

Use of Google Analytics:

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies, i.e. text files, which will be stored on your computer and enable us to analyse how you use our website. The information generated by the cookie about how you are using this website (including your IP address, which will be anonymised by the “_anonymizeIp()” function however, thus preventing any identification of a specific connection or user) is sent to and stored on a Google server in the USA.

Google will then use the information it collected in order to analyse how you are using the website, to compile reports on the website activities and to provide other services for the website operator related to the use of the website and the Internet. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where this is required by law or where the third party is processing the data on Google’s behalf. Under no circumstances will Google associate your IP address with other Google data.

You may prevent the cookies from being stored on your computer by applying the corresponding setting in your browser software; however we have to point out that in this case the functionality of this website may no longer be fully available to you. By using this website, you consent to the processing by Google of the data collected about you in the manner and for the purposes described above. You may object to the collection of the data by Google Analytics with future effect, in particular by installing a deactivation add-on (http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout) for your browser.

Use of Facebook plugins:

Plugins to the social network facebook.com (“Facebook”) are integrated in this website. Facebook is a company of Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA. A list and optical depiction of these Facebook plugins can be viewed at http://developers.facebook.com/plugins.

Each time you connect to a web page that belongs to our website and has such a plugin installed, the plugin causes the browser you use to load and display the optical depiction of this plugin from the Facebook server. We are unable to control, and have no accurate knowledge of, the amount of data Facebook collects with the plugin and can therefore only inform you to the extent of our own knowledge:

The integration of the plugin means that the Facebook server will be notified which page of our website you are currently viewing as soon as you connect to our web page (and not only after you activate the plugin). If you are a Facebook member and are logged into Facebook when you visit our website, Facebook recognises which specific page of our website you are currently on and assigns this page to your personal user account on Facebook. If you then activate one of the plugins, this is also sent to your personal user account on Facebook and stored and displayed there. Even if you are not a member of Facebook, it will still be possible for Facebook to find out and store your IP address.

If you are a Facebook member and do not want Facebook to collect data about you and your surfing behaviour through our website and link this information to your member’s data stored on Facebook, you should sign out of Facebook before visiting our website. In order to prevent any collection and disclosure of your visitor data by Facebook plugins in the future, you can obtain and install a special browser add-on for some browsers on the Internet.

To access the privacy policy of Facebook and find out more about the collection and use of data by Facebook, please go to: http://www.facebook.com/policy.php.

3.Voluntary provision of personal data

You do not need to provide us with personal data in order to be able to visit our website. If you choose to provide such data voluntarily, for example by completing an online form or when ordering our newsletter, ADDI-DATA will be allowed to use this data in order to respond to your request or for mailing the newsletter and otherwise only in compliance with the pertinent data protection provisions. You may revoke your consent to our storing and using your personal data, in particular your e-mail address for mailing the newsletter, at any time by simply notifying us (by e-mail, fax or letter) and you can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by activating a link to be found in every newsletter we send you. If you choose to do so, all your personal data will be deleted by ADDI-DATA straight away.

We will not disclose any personal data to third parties, unless you have given prior express consent to the disclosure or we are under a legal obligation to disclose the data. If you have given consent to the disclosure of your data, you can revoke this consent at any time with a simple notification (by e-mail, fax or letter).

4. Information

You can use the contact details provided in the Legal Notice section of our website and the e-mail address below at any time to request information about the data stored by ADDI-DATA in relation to you or to ask for it to be corrected or deleted: info@addi-data.com.
